A Josh Hutcherson One-Shot
“Babe, are you alright?”
“I’m fine.” You replied. Your voice was flat and emotionless. A tell-tale sign that something was wrong.
They say the eyes are the windows to the soul and that was true. On the outside your strong wall built a tough exterior, hiding the pain away the pain away from anyone. Normally you could get by with a small smile and an “I’m fine.” But that’s because no one payed attention to your soft eyes. They eyes were screaming for help. Pleading for someone to listen. Just looking in your eyes and anyone could see what you were thinking.
Maybe I do need to loose wight. I do have some pudge. I’m not pretty enough to be with Josh, just look at my nose! Why is with me? He’ll find someone prettier and better, someone who deserves him. I’m just not good enough. I’m a nobody.
You walked past Josh and walked calmly into the bathroom. The bathroom in the hotel room was so small and cramped you felt as if you were locked in. You loved being on tour with the Josh, going to all The Hunger Games movie premiers around the world, but you had absolutely no privacy. Going from airplanes to hotel rooms everyday you had no where you could just sit and think. At this point in time, you didn’t want to think. You wanted to be held. You wanted to cuddle into Josh’s chest and fall asleep and forget about the comments you just read.
But you couldn’t. If you did Josh would find out what was wrong and he’d be angry at the people who did wrote those horrid things.
You could feel her walls breaking down as you pictured your twitter page.
“You ugly bitch!
You’re just another slut!
UGLY DISGUSTING WHORE!”
You took a deep breath as a tear fell down your face. The ache in your chest just began to grow. Your throat tightened and you bit your bottom lip and blinked your eyes to try to stop the tears. You slid down the wall resting your feet against the bathtub, bringing your knees up to your chest. In your right hand was your phone, you clutched it tight, you would have preferred a teddy bear or Josh’s hand but you couldn’t.
A slight knock on the door told her that you wasn’t going to escape this and there was no room for privacy in a small hotel room with practically the whole cast sitting right outside.
“Babe?” Josh’s deep voice called in. He sounded worried.
You cleared the throat.
“It’s me. Please, can you let me in?”
“No, I’m fine. I’ll be out in a minute.” Your voice was once again just flat and emotionless and no one would be able to tell that silent tears were trickling softly down your cheeks.
“Please let me in?” The way he spoke felt like sending and arrow straight at your heart. He was so concerned.
You didn’t get up, but just reached up and pushed the door open. Josh bit his lip, seeing you crying was killing him.
He quickly slid inside the already cramped bathroom, shut the door and took you in his arms.
He brushed your hair gently out of your face and cupped your cheek. Your nose and ears were red and eyes were ringed with tears that slid silently down your face leaving paths in their wake. He caressed your cheek taking away your tears as he pulled you onto his lap. Your small frame nestled perfectly into his. He wrapped an arm around you, protectively while his other hand softly smoothed your hair out of her face.
“You are beautiful.” You closed her eyes, a small sigh of protest escaping your mouth as you turned your head, ashamed, away from him.
”Look at me.” He hooked a finger under your chin and brought your gaze to his. “Never, never listen to what those girls say. They aren’t insulting you. They’re insulting ‘Josh Hutcherson’s girlfriend’ because they want to feel better about themselves. Please, I know it hurts, trust me. I know. I’ve been in this position before and it’s not fun.”
You cuddled your way closer to him. You nuzzled your nose into the crook of his neck, his musky cologne was soothing. Your tears dropped onto his skin and fell down into his shirt. He pulled you closer wrapping both arms around you, cradling you to him.
“I know.” Your voice cracked. He rubbed soothing circled on your back through your tank top. “I know that they’re just jealous and so they want to be as rude as possible. I know all of that. But… but it doesn’t mean it hurts any less. I mean, it should. I should be smart enough to just put my emotions aside or… I don’t know.” Your voice was strained and weak.
He kissed your hair.
“What those girls were saying would effect anyone. But the comments weren’t true. You are a beautiful girl. Inside and out. You are kind and compassionate and the sweetest person I have ever met. You would give anything just to know that others are happy. You’re funny and talented and yes, you are beautiful. Absolutely stunning.”
There was a moment of silence.
You smiled Josh’s neck. All signs of tears, of sadness were fading away. You loved Josh more than you could ever possibly say. It was even hard for you to comprehend, having never felt this way before. But things like this. These small little moments made everything okay. Made everything else seem unimportant.
You laughed slightly.
“You are just so… perfect.” You sat up in his lap, looking into his deep hazel eyes. You started to giggle. One of your hands covered your mouth, in an attempt to possibly hide your laughter. Josh giggled with your, not exactly knowing why but your laughter was infectious.
“If would have told me, last year that I was going to be in a three foot bathroom cuddling up to Josh Hutcherson an-“
“JOSH! HEEEEELP!!!” Jennifer’s screaming broke through the little romantic bubble, you had both created. Both you and Josh jumped up and tore out of the bathroom only to find Jennifer on the couch being attacked but, of all people, Amanda Stenberg. Everyone: Liam, Alexander and Isabelle were laughing their heads off.
”What’s going on here?” Josh said, laughing.
“Jennifer stole Amanda’s last Hershey’s bar.” Liam explained through his laughter.
“Jen! You never touch someone else’s chocolate!” You reprimand. It didn’t work because you too was laughing.
“My tummy wanted the chocolate!” Jennifer complained. Laughing as Amanda climbed on her back reaching out for the candy. Jen held the candy just out of reach of the young girl.
Amanda looked to Josh. “Please, bright knight save me from the evil dragon and help me get my chocolate back!” Josh looked to you, and you nodded towards the fighting pair on the floor.
“Go save your Princess, Sir Hutcherson.” With a grin Josh launched himself in the fight.
“Have at thee, coward!”

A Josh Hutcherson One-Shot
Josh slowly pushed the door open, but the hinges creaked in objection. Caitlyn barely looked up from her laptop.
“Josh, I swear if you’re trying to distract me from my paper with Coke and Halo I will punch you in the persqueeter.”
Josh mockingly hissed and covered up his very precious private parts.
“No, no. No need for violent, drastic measures. I come bearing gifts.” He held up his hand. And in his hand held the golden gift from God. A Hershey’s bar.
Cait’s blue eyes widened as she took in her treat.
“You cannot deny chocolate. It is against the laws of nature.” He reminded, quoting her own words. “Please just two minutes with your best friend. I’m lonely.” He gave her the puppy dog eyes.
“Josh, I saw you an hour ago.”
“Yeah, but I have separation anxiety.”
“Fine… but only because you’re giving me chocolate.” Cait tossed her computer, which she had named Draco from Harry Potter, gently aside, and reached like a little girl for the chocolate bar. Which Josh, oh so maturely, pulled just out of reach. The two’s eyes locked and began a stare down.
“Oh, you’re so on.” Cait launched herself off the bed at him and the two fought on the ground for dominance, all the while she was reaching for the chocolatly goodness.
Josh started tickling her sides with his free hand.
“No.. no! CHEETER!” Cait yelled through her giggles and began attacking his sides in retaliation. Soon the two were side by side, laughter dying down. Caity was wiping the tears out of her eyes, her ribs hurting from laughing so much.
“Okay.” Josh said in between breaths. “I give. You can claim your prize.” Cait rolled over on her side and reached for the chocolate bar. In doing so it brought thier faces incredibly closer to one another and it seemed like time froze. In the heat of the moment Caity reached out and kissed his lips. Josh returned the favor forcefully and their lips seemed to meld together. He was just about to make the kiss deeper when she pulled away.
She looked in fright at her best friend. She had just kissed him. Oh, no.
The tension could be cut with a knife so Caity did what she did best.
She took the chocolate bar and jumped back on the bed.
“Do you wanna watch Star Wars again?” She changes the subject. Josh coughed, covering up his disappointment and joined her on the bed, grabbing her computer and placing it in his lap finding the video.
He glanced over at his best friend. Her blue eyes sparkled and her cheeks were flushed. Something caught in his throat.
A smirk formed on Josh’s lips as lent in and captured her lips with his. Caitlyn’s arms reached out, one tangling in his short hair and the other gripping his shoulder.
He set aside her computer and flipped them over so he was on top of her.
It seemed he had won this round and was ready to claim his prize.
I’m pretty new on this blog and my dash is dead. Josh Hutcherson blogs reblog this and I’ll check out your Tumblr.
No, I Mean I Like You.
A Josh Hutcherson One-Shot
You were sprawled out on Josh’s couch watching horrible late night TV shows.
UGH! You look around his living room, the light from the TV illuminating only half of the big room. You’ve been best friends with Josh for years. You’ve literally told him everything in your life. You two have been so close nothing fazes you anymore. The second Josh gets back from work he tears off his shirt and lounges around in just shorts. You’ve stripped before him too just because you know he’s not a virgin and has seen lady parts before, and it’s just Josh, right?
You turn the TV off after getting too bored with Access Hollywood and creep your way upstairs. You had tried sleeping in the guest room with no avail.
You’ve had insomnia for a while. You’ve tried the “all natural supplements.” You’ve tried the sleeping pills. You’ve tried working out before you went to sleep to wear you out. You’ve tried everything. The only thing that has ever helped you sleep was Josh.
You peek into his bedroom and through the darkness you can see him covering half of his bed. He makes a little noise when he sleeps, his breathing is steady.
You approach the bed.
“Josh?” You whisper, trying not to scare him. “Josh?”
“Hmmm?” He mumbles.
“Josh, I can’t sleep. Can I cuddle with you?” Josh’s hazel eyes snap open and they seem so dark in the moonlight. He smiles sleepily.
“Of course.” He lifts the blankets up and you crawl into the bed. You rest your head on his chest and he pulls you closer, wrapping his arms protectively around you. “You wanna talk?”
“Nope. I don’t have anything on my mind, I just can’t sleep.” He yawns and snuggles closer.
“Well, I’ll stay up until you go to sleep.”
“M’kay.” You mumble. His tired, deep voice has already started to lull you into complete comfort. One of his hands begins stroking your hair, curling and smoothing it out. He messages your scalp a little and it feels like heaven.
After a few minutes of this and listening to his steady heartbeat he whispers, “You asleep yet?”
“No,” You laugh quietly. “Josh, go to sleep. I’ll get there eventually.”
“Nope.” You could tell by his voice he needed sleep. Plus he had an interview tomorrow and needed his rest.
“Come on, Kentucky. I’m actually sleepy now. We can both go to sleep.” He chuckles softly at his nick-name. You glance up at him and see his perfect jaw and then his eyes being to droop closed.
You smile into his chest and yours do the same.
Hours later you stir, needing to change your position, but Josh’s arms are locked around you and you can’t budge.
“Hutch let go, I’ve gotta move.”His eyes flutter.
“No, I like this.” You groan in frustration.
“Josh, please?” he sighs and reluctantly lets go. You practically throw your body facing away from him. You get comfortable bringing your legs ups slightly. Just as your about to go back to sleep Josh’s arms wrap around you again and you feel his body press into yours.
He’s spooning you.
Not the first time, but this time you feel something different. Your heart jumps at the contact. You can feel where his hand meet your skin from where your tank top had ridden up. His hot, but soothing breath against your neck. His whole body pressed against yours.
You can feel his lips glide over your sensitive skin and wonder if he did that on purpose.
This feels nice. I could stay here forever, you think.
Then your eyes flash open and you stop.
It’s at this exact moment that you realize how stupid you really are. How blind you’ve been. For the past two years you’ve been oblivious to Josh in a way. You saw him as you’re best friend.
“It’s just Josh.” You’d always say.
But your now your mind has fully caught up to your body and you realize that all this time.
“I love you.” You whisper out. You thought Josh was asleep, but he obviously was at least semi-conscious because you feel his body stiffen.
Oh shit, you think.
“What?” Josh pulls back slightly so he can look at your face. You turn to face him, gaining more strength than you thought possible.
“I said… I said, I love you.” You’ve said the words before, but they now held a weight to them.
“Love you too,” he says nonchalantly. You feel a stab at your heart but persist.
“No, dummy, I mean… When I say I love you what… what I’m really trying to say is that… I like you.” You stare into his eyes. He expression is unreadable. You’re just about to jump out of bed and walk to your apartment (which is all the way across town) when he does something you never expected.
His lips catch your in an instant. His hand grasps the back of your head and pulls you in close. Your head is spinning and all you can feel is Josh. Your arms wrap around his body and pull him closer, if that’s even possibly. His lips work passionately against yours.
As you both need air, the kiss ends, but he gives you a peck on you lips again.
“I’ve been waiting for you to say that for two years.” You gently stroke his cheek and smile.
“Sorry, I’m a little slow on the uptake.” He laughs.
“Yeah, just a bit.” He kisses your lips softly once more.
You snuggle closer into his chest and drift off into the most peaceful sleep you’ve had in a long time.
It’s strange to think, that was the last time you ever had sleeping troubles.
A/N: Josh Hutcherson One Shot
The young dark haired girl was slowly moving throught the tough LA traffic. In her rear view mirror “Red Escalade Asshole” as she so deemed to call him was riding her ass like the traffic was her fault. She wanted to flip him off and race away but considering the current predicment she had no such luck.
She pulled her dark, almost black curls, into a pony tail to get them out of the way. The weather was nice but her hair attracted sunlight like none other and she got over heated fast. Her windows were rolled down and she let her hand fall out into the breaze.
The light, of course cut her off, but she didn’t take it too bad. She looked into the mirror once more, studying herself.
Caitlyn looked at her pale skin and big blue eyes. It all seemed out of place when it was combined like that on herself. She still looked years younger than her actual 18 year old self. She was mistaken for a fourteen year old just yesterday. Honestly she couldn’t see how people could mistake her for being so young. Sure she had a small petie frame with practiacally no boobs, but she did have hips that gave her the tiniest hour-glass figure. She sighed and quoted a The Princess Diaries.
“This is as good as it’s ever going to get.” She rolled her eyes and placed her bright pink raybans that covered most of her face on and the light turned green.
She pulled up to the laundry mat and grabbed one of her many bags of clothes and went in. She smelled bleach as she entered but the place was empty accept for the owner, a little old lady named Elizabeth who constatly yelled at her for not bringing the “grandkids” in… Lizzy, as Caitlyn named her had alzheimers and apparently though Caitlyn was her daugher Sarah, and one other. There was a young man in the back of the room. He was wearing not only a cap and sunglasses… in doors but the hood of his jacket was up too. Over his dark jacket he wore a leather jacket that fit him like a glove.
She noted the fact that A) He might be a criminal because he looked so suspicous and b) he looked really good in that jacket but quickly moved all thoughts of B away as she cautiously moved to the first washer, completely out of Psycho’s way.
